My deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Maj. Michelle Mendes. I had the pleasure of getting to know Michelle when she attended our spring weekend retreat last year. I had just received an email from her a couple weeks back, as she wanted to participate in our spring garage sale, even though she would be leaving for Afghansitan the following week. I was devasatated to learn of her death only days later. She served a grateful nation. Rest in peace Michelle, you are forever a Hero.

CFB TRENTON, Ont. — Friends and family gathered at a military base in Trenton, Ont., on Sunday as the body of the latest Canadian soldier to die in Afghanistan returned.

The military said an investigation into the circumstances of the woman’s death continue. No further details were released, although the military said enemy action has been ruled out.

Our March Calendar Kits are now ready for pick up! I apologize for being late…but this is a crazy busy time of year and just not enough hours in the day to get it all done! But I hope you will enjoy them and think they were worth the wait! Now, to get my butt in gear and work on Aprils’, right?!

Kid’s Easter Class : Sat. April 4th.

Just a reminder of our Kid’s Easter Class this Saturday morning from 10am until 11:30am. We will be making several cute Easter Cards and another little craft! Please call or email to register by Friday at 10am. Class is designed for kids aged 8 and up, however younger ones are welcome to attend with an adult staying to provide assistance. Class cost is $20.00 and includes all supplies!!!
